DIY Rolling Pin Holder

A Simple Solution for Your Kitchen

Are your rolling pins cluttering up your kitchen drawers? I found a creative and easy solution to this problem by making my own rolling pin holder. Not only does this project help organize your kitchen, but it also adds a charming touch to your wall decor.

  • A pair of old pants (I used my husband’s)
  • Scissors
  • Needle and thread (or a sewing machine, if you prefer)
  • Nails
  • Hammer

Materials Needed:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Cut the Fabric:
  • Start by cutting two small rectangles from the pants. The size can vary depending on the width of your rolling pins.

2. Hem and Sew:

  • Hem all four sides of each rectangle to prevent fraying. If you’re not an expert sewer, don’t worry—this project doesn’t require perfect stitching, then fold in half lengthways and sew down the middle, then sew the ends.
  1. Attach to the Wall:
  • Make a loop with each tube and nail them to the wall at the top of the loop. Ensure they’re securely fastened and spaced appropriately to fit the handles of your rolling pins.
  1. Insert the Rolling Pins:
  • Once the loops are attached to the wall, you can easily slide the handles of the rolling pins into the loops. The pins should hang horizontally, looking neat and accessible.

Why This Project Works:

  • Saves Drawer Space: By hanging the rolling pins on the wall, you free up valuable drawer space for other kitchen tools.
  • Reuses Materials: This project is a great way to upcycle old clothing, reducing waste.
  • Easy and Quick: Even if you’re not a proficient sewer, this project is simple and doesn’t take much time. My sewing skills are far from perfect, yet the result was functional and attractive.
  • Adds a Personal Touch: The rolling pin holder not only serves a practical purpose but also adds a unique, handmade element to your kitchen decor.

I hope you find this DIY rolling pin holder as useful and easy as I did. It’s a small project that makes a big difference in kitchen organization. Happy crafting!
